Please find below the September update for BritishMilitaryHistory

Dear all,

Well. It is done!!! I have submitted my Dissertation to the University of Birmingham on time. It was titled: The Leigh Light Wellingtons of R.A.F. Chivenor - An examination and analysis of the Leigh Light equipped squadrons that operated from R.A.F. Chivenor between 1942 and 1945, and their contribution to the Battle of the Atlantic.

This dissertation has been challenging, and hard work, having absorbed me totally for the past three months. I have enjoyed the process immensly, but am coming to terms with the fact that this spells the effective end of my two-year Master's degree course at Birmingham. Now I await the result.

On a personal note, I am returning to my local hospital next Friday for a second operation, so may be out of commission for a while. When I return, I have various projects to complete, including: updating the Tunisia 1943 section of the website; completing an article on 141 R.A.C. at Brest in 1944; completing the history of 23 Infantry Brigade (Chindits) in Burma; and finishing off and publishing at least five biographies.

After that, will take stock and look at determining my next projects.

All the best, Rob.
